There are times when a place unexpectedly draws you in to what it has to offer. Upon visiting our daughter in Costa Rica, I stumbled across this cemetery. I packed up my large format camera to document this historic place. After photographing the location, the unprocessed negatives joined us in a several day journey across the country. Upon arriving at the airport, it was discovered that the cooler holding the negatives took on water from melting ice. Despite the imagined tragedy, the negatives were processed providing these enigmatic images.
